The benefits of sourcing in CEE for the international business community is more than just good value for money (when it applies) and shorter distance, thus lower transportation costs. The European culture means that the clients of the producers are similar in mentality and to some extent life style than Asian or South American producers. If the world economy is gravitating to the BRICs as many increasingly argue, Central Europe is a natural supply base for both Western Europe and the Russian markets and as global business relocates its factories to low cost Europe the opportunities are increasing all the time.
