Client's need

Strategic sourcing is a form of acquiring suppliers over a longer period of time, a strategy built into company’s development plan. By implementing a thoughtful purchasing process a company can not only optimize their supply chain, but also intensify production and reduce costs associated with the purchasing process.
Our client, one of the leading providers of solutions for the textile industry, was looking for information on sources of supply of raw materials and components for producing machines in Eastern Europe.
Together with PMR the client wanted to build an optimal sourcing strategy, which would include an assessment of the competitiveness levels of various entities and a macroeconomic analysis of the researched countries and regions.

Our deliverables

A team of PMR analysts conducted a thorough analysis of macroeconomic factors which will shape the industry in the coming years. Furthermore, we analyzed the potential of local suppliers and their performance parameters, in order to choose the companies which would be best for long-term cooperation in terms of purchasing and supply chain planning.

Value for the client

The client received clear guidelines on how to acquire new business partners, and a list of companies in the local markets that have the biggest potential. Additionally, we managed to develop an effective negotiation strategy with potential suppliers who met the client’s requirements.

As a result of our research, it became possible to:
