Finding a business partner for a foreign manufacturer of pharmaceuticals
Our client, a leading European manufacturer of pharmaceuticals, asked PMR for support in finding a distributor for the Polish market. The client needed a business partner that would fit their specific criteria, and would be willing to enter into a long-term cooperation.
After our client decided on the key criteria for selecting a potential business partner, the PMR team drew up an extensive list of pharmaceutical distributors who met all of those criteria (involving geographic coverage, sales team structure, experience in cooperating with foreign companies, and number of products introduced into the Polish market). The client received a database with profiles of companies, their product portfolio, the scope of services they provide, and contact information.
In the second phase of the project, the list was narrowed down to companies which best fit the client’s criteria. PMR consultants then reached out to those distributors, in order to find out whether they are interested in the manufacturer’s product offer and willing to establish cooperation. The key element of this stage was an interactive selection of business partners, during which the companies which best met the criteria had been recommended by PMR as future long-term business partners.

As a result of the project, our client can effectively enter the Polish market, with the support of a business partner willing to establish long-term cooperation. PMR identified the best companies in the segment and presented the client with detailed profiles, which allowed them to gain insight into the complexity of the local market, and therefore increase the brand’s chances of success in Poland.
