In order to obtain accurate market data PMR had to use various research methods in numerous European countries.
The project started with in-depth desk research in order to learn as much as possible about this market segment before we start to interview market experts. Nevertheless, we quickly realized that the majority information needed was not available in secondary sources.
In order to obtain relevant information we needed to conduct numerous in-depth interviews with various market players, including cosmetics marketers, members of distribution channels, trade organizations and others. PMR, in total, made approximately 80 interviews. The interviews were conducted by phone, as well as face-to-face, and some were with top-executives.
In addition to interviews and desk research, our Consultants traveled to various European countries in order to conduct store checks and participate in trade fairs.
The client was very satisfied with the report, and provided us with a reference letter.
How the project ended:
The final outcome included a very detailed report analyzing trends on the market, major and niche distribution channels description (including back bar and retail sales of skin care products), detailed profiles of major marketers including their financial data, product analysis as well as an outlook of market development in the next 5 years.
