Our solution:
Our consultant screened the market to find out various distribution partner options. Four major groups of players were identified as potential distributors and partners on the Russian market and a long list of these companies was created. These were mass merchandisers, baby specialty stores and baby product distributors as well as specialized internet stores.
Afterwards PMR contacted all the relevant players (consulting the list of these players with the client beforehand) in order to present our client's company, the offer and verify whether they are interested in cooperation. The goal of these contacts was also to gain more information about these companies in order to present to the client later, as well as to identify English speaking contact person in all the companies.
How the project ended:
The client received an initial long list with contact details of the companies PMR got in touch with as well as a short list of companies that were interested in cooperation. Value added to the client in this project were all the comments from the companies we talked to, giving reasons for willingness/unwillingness to cooperate; comments about the products, conditions under which they would like to cooperate; as well as many more insights giving the client an additional knowledge about the market.
