Our client, one of the leading medical gases manufacturers, wished to understand the medical gas market in several Central and Eastern European countries (Poland, Hungary, Romania, Russia, Greece, Bulgaria and Serbia) and wanted to establish the best market entry strategy. |
Our solution:
PMR produced in-depth reports assessing the market opportunities and competitive environments in selected countries. The report was based on a wide range of statistical information as well as in-depth interviews with key market players. Not only was it difficult to obtain this data initially but it was also necessary to evaluate where the reality of the market differed from the statistics and how local customs affected the market landscape. As some of the client’s products haven’t yet been introduced onto the local markets, PMR consultants estimated the potential market for these, based on healthcare indicators, key people’s knowledge about new techniques and their willingness towards - and interest in - new treatments. We also studied the competitive environment in each country and provided a comprehensive knowledge of the key players and the strategy they follow.
