Key steel manufacturer interested in entering the Russian and Polish bridge construction markets
 Client's problem:
PMR was asked to provide information on the Russian and Polish bridge construction market. The challenge was significant, as the region to be covered by the study was the whole of Russia (and not only the European part, which is usually the subject of this kind of project) and Poland. The information which PMR was asked for ranged from the market size, through the regulatory issues to the competitive landscape of the main market players at various levels of the bridge construction process. The scope of the study demanded extensive desk research, access to official statistics, in-depth interviews with the market players as well as with sector experts, who played a leading role in depicting the current situation on the market. |
Our solution:
First of all, PMR agreed with the client on the reporting method and timetable milestones in order to assure proper communication and enable the client to influence the course of the study. As soon as all the organizational issues had been set, PMR’s Russian and Polish teams started to work on the project, which, in order to meet the deadlines and prioritize the issues properly, was divided into four main parts. Once a week, the results of each part were delivered to the client, who was then able to comment on them and ask additional questions as and when a higher level of detail was required. All the questions were processed immediately, which made the work smooth and ensured that all deadlines were met.
How the project ended:
The result of this was a report of over 200 pages, describing in detail all the aspects of the bridge construction market in Russia and Poland, including both theoretical and practical issues. Additionally a presentation was given to the client’s management, which clearly and succinctly presented the main findings of the study.
Delivery time:
3 months
What the client received through this project:
Our study created a detailed description of the local market conditions in Russia and Poland in terms of transport infrastructure development plans, both in road and railway transportation. Based on this our client was able to adjust its current offer and strengthen its market position on the described markets.
