Construction cost evaluation study in Bulgaria
 Client's problem:
Our client planned to invest heavily in one major project in Bulgaria, however they had problems with estimating the budget and identifying potential subcontractors. |
Our solution:
In order to help our client estimate an initial budget for the project, PMR consultants evaluated labor costs in Bulgaria for several categories of workers that will be heavily used in the project, costs of construction machinery in the country, as well as cost of selected construction materials in Bulgaria. At the second stage of the project, PMR consultants did on site checks of potential subcontractors i.e. construction companies capable of carrying projects on a large scale, met with their key executives and assessed them as potential suppliers. The same evaluation was done with suppliers of key construction materials (for instance, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, masonry units) in the region where the investment is about to be realized.

PMR prepared a report describing the construction market in Bulgaria, identified key companies capable of carrying a project of similar size, assessed the potential risks for the project (labor shortages, material shortages etc) and eventually helped our client prepare the initial budget for the investment.
